Stanley C. Panther Put On The Florida Panthers Injured Reserve

Photo Submitted By Kyle... Thanks!

Mascot’s on the IR list! It’s about time we got some NHL mascot madness goin’ on.

While attempting to hurdle a folding chair during intermission at a recent game, Stanley C. Panther (what’s the C stand for?) sustained an “undisclosed injury” according to a team official, and will be put on the injured reserve list while he heals/rehabs.

Says the Press Release at FloridaPanthers.com:

Stanley is currently confined to a wheelchair and is listed as day-to-day, but will still be present at Panthers games during the recovery process.

While Stanley is out, other local mascots such as Billy the Marlin (Marlins), Sebastian the Ibis (Hurricanes), Burnie (Heat) and T.D. (Dolphins) will be doing the heavy lifting at some Florida Panthers games.

Fans are encouraged to sign a get well card for Stanley at the BankAtlantic Center on game nights.

If you can’t make it to the BankAtlantic Center, the team said there would be an ecard you could send through their website. (I couldn’t find it)

Or you can print the card below and send it to Stanley Panther at the Florida Panthers front office.

Special thanks to Kyle For the heads up!!!

Not sure if you’re serious about what the ‘C’ stands for, but it’s ‘Cup’.
