He’s become a part of their pre-game ritual, and now he’ll be there when the Butler Bulldogs face the Duke Blue Devils tonght fro the NCAA Basketball National Championship.
It’s been a long journey with some twists and turns, but I’m sure Blue II is ready, and the Butler players wouldn’t have it any other way.
You see, the NCAA has a rule forbidding “Live” animal mascots on the floor at basketball games. And who can blame them… do you think they want “Ralphie” from Colorado, or “Bevo” from Texas running across the hardwood.
What about the LSU Tiger? That could be a problem.
But after getting an exemption, Blue will be there. (Ready for PETA statement in 3…2…)
Now, we just need to get the Duke mascot potty trained.
